Research Interests

My current project is concerned with the multilingualism and cultural translation between European settlers and Amerindians in colonial North America. After studying world history and translation studies at the undergraduate level, from 2017 to 2018, I moved to the University of Cambridge to pursue an MPhil degree in Early Modern History. Under the supervision of Professor Mary Laven, I have examined the language education in seventeenth-century Massachusetts before continuing to a doctoral student here. I am broadly interested in the social and cultural history of languages, particularly regarding global cross-linguistic encounters in the early modern Atlantic world.
