Interdisciplinary Research Centre

Delegate registration is now open for the ALTE (Association of Language Testers in Europe) 7th International Conference, one of the largest multilingual events for the global assessment community. The seventh international conference will consider how we can safeguard fair, valid and ethical practices in the light of new developments and innovations in our multilingual field, and encourages contributions from all those involved in language assessment and language education in general, both across Europe and around the world.


Conference strands

The theme is divided into four strands:

- Defining the Construct of Multilingualism in Language Assessment

- Innovations in Language Assessment

- Fair and Valid Language Testing and Assessment

- Considerations of Ethics and Justice in the Multilingual Context of Assessment

We are pleased to announce that in the afternoon of Friday 24th April 2020, the ALTE Forum on Language Assessment for Migration and Integration (LAMI) will take place in the same venue of the ALTE 7th International conference.

The theme of the LAMI Forum is: 'Mediation: from theoretical concepts to evaluation practices within the migration context'.  Further information about the programme will be available soon.

Delegates attending the ALTE 7th International Conference are welcome to also attend the LAMI Forum free of charge and won't need to register separately in the LAMI forum page.

If you would like to attend only the LAMI Forum, there is a registration fee of €25.

Cambridge Language Sciences is an Interdisciplinary Research Centre at the University of Cambridge. Our virtual network connects researchers from five schools across the university as well as other world-leading research institutions. Our aim is to strengthen research collaborations and knowledge transfer across disciplines in order to address large-scale multi-disciplinary research challenges relating to language research.
