Syntax

ReCoS is happy to announce the first Cambridge Comparative Syntax conference! We intend CamCoS to be an annual meeting, discussing various themes in the field of comparative syntax. The theme for the first workshop is 'Ergativity', which will be approached from different angles by the following invited speakers:

Roberta D'Alessandro

Geoffrey Khan

Itziar Laka

Milan Rezac, and Lisa Travis.

The conference will take place 18th-19th May 2012 on the Sidgwick site of the University of Cambridge, and is organised by the ReCoS team, consisting of Ian Roberts, Theresa Biberauer, Michelle Sheehan, Jenneke van der Wal, Alison Biggs and Tim Bazalgette.

What we do

Cambridge Language Sciences is an Interdisciplinary Research Centre at the University of Cambridge. Our virtual network connects researchers from five schools across the university as well as other world-leading research institutions. Our aim is to strengthen research collaborations and knowledge transfer across disciplines in order to address large-scale multi-disciplinary research challenges relating to language research.
