The 2017 UK Speech Conference will take place in Cambridge on the 11th and 12th of September 2017. It aims to bring together researchers in the UK and Ireland Speech Science and Technology community, both in academia and industry to share information about ongoing research activities, to meet old friends and make new ones. This year’s conference is being organised by the CUED Speech Research Group, with collaboration from the UK Speech Community.

The conference will include: posters, keynotes, demos and a tutorial.

Speakers

Dr Christine Evers (Imperial College), Acoustic Scene Mapping for Robot Audition (keynote)

Dr Vincent Wan (Google), Sequence Models using Tensor Flow (tutorial)

Dr Catherine Breslin (Amazon) will give a keynote talk on Amazon Alexa

Submissions of work are encouraged, particularly from PhD students and early stage researchers. The conference is intended as a chance to share work that not everyone will have seen so posters from other conferences held, or to be held, this year are welcome, as is work in progress. Demos are welcome.
