Starting a PhD can be both an exciting and a daunting prospect. Progressing to a research degree from a taught degree is challenging, but it also offers great opportunities for creativity and individuality. In this networking and mentoring event, we want to give new PhD students a chance to gain a clearer understanding of the PhD process with help from those further along in their research journey. Come along and find out what those who have gone before you have to say about attending conferences, publishing papers, collecting data and actually finishing your research! This is an excellent opportunity to network with others both within and outside your field. Although this event is aimed at first year PhD students, it will be helpful to post-graduate students at any stage. This event is free for all post-graduates at Cambridge University.
