Cambridge Language Sciences

Interdisciplinary Research Centre

Workshop organised by PhD Clinic

Our topic is 'Academia and Industry - can a PhD prepare me for both?'. During the workshop we will discuss what skills can/should students acquire during their PhD to be prepared for a career in academia and in industry. We will be joined by Madelaine Chapman, who works for the Cambridge University Career Service and provides advice and support to researchers from various disciplines. She will help us to answer all tricky questions related to our topic.
This workshop will be very beneficial to the new PhD students, however all PhD years are welcome! To make the most of this workshop, when registering, please submit a specific question that you would like us to address. To register please go to our website- http://cambridgephdclinic.com or email Ana at ak798@cam.ac.uk.
For those new to our workshops, PhD clinic is here to support PhD students by providing an informal atmosphere where you can discuss the issues related to your academic work and the PhD life both with fellow students and our invited experts. For more information and previous workshops check out our website.
As always places are limited - first come, first served.
Looking forward to seeing you all there,
Ana and Jo
