A two day symposium amining to bring together sound studies researchers across the humanities

The event aims to rally researchers engaged in sound studies, and interrogate the discipline’s promises and pitfalls. We will be joined by Dr. Tom Rice (Anthropology, Exeter) and Dr. Mina Gorji (English, Cambridge) as keynote speakers, and also welcome the composer and sound designer Tom Lane, who will give a talk on the practice of sound design. What we do

Cambridge Language Sciences is an Interdisciplinary Research Centre at the University of Cambridge. Our virtual network connects researchers from five schools across the university as well as other world-leading research institutions. Our aim is to strengthen research collaborations and knowledge transfer across disciplines in order to address large-scale multi-disciplinary research challenges relating to language research.
