Professor Helena Sanson

I specialize in 16th-century culture and literature with a particular interest in the 'Questione della lingua', conduct literature, and women and gender. Other research interests are: history of the Italian language; history of linguistic thought; women's history from the Middle Ages to the present; 18th- and 19th-century Italian culture and literature (in particular with reference to women and gender); translation.
