Research

Within NLP, my research is mainly in applications of discourse and other linguistic information for Information Retrieval and summarisation. I am interested in the interaction of tasks such as generation, topic segmentation and clustering with classic Information Retrieval and summarisation. My current work concentrates on generation techniques for robust summarisation, and on task-based experiments of human text processing. I have also worked on multilingual summarisation and medical information extraction.
