The German Section in the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages and Linguistics in the University of Cambridge is seeking to appoint a part time Teaching Associate in German language teaching, with a start date of 15 September 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter, for a fixed term of two years.

The Teaching Associate will be expected to contribute to the teaching and examining of undergraduate courses, and to the administration of the Section's activities. We particularly welcome applicants who, in addition to having a high proficiency (C2 on the Common European Framework of Reference) in German, also have a very good command of English and experience in teaching German as a foreign language to adults.

Candidates will hold a degree in a relevant field and be able to demonstrate active, collegial engagement in teaching and outreach in German Studies.

Cambridge Language Sciences is an Interdisciplinary Research Centre at the University of Cambridge. Our virtual network connects researchers from five schools across the university as well as other world-leading research institutions. Our aim is to strengthen research collaborations and knowledge transfer across disciplines in order to address large-scale multi-disciplinary research challenges relating to language research.
