The Language Sciences Impact Fund is a small grants fund which supports interdisciplinary impact activities in the language sciences.
Impact Fund: current call now closed
The fund is open to University of Cambridge researchers. The grants are generally for up to £1,000, although this could stretch in exceptional circumstances. They could also be used as a top-up grant to existing impact funding.
What activities can be funded?

- Meetings or workshops with non-academic partners and stakeholder groups to facilitate knowledge exchange
- Engaging with research users in other ways e.g. going into schools
- Short-term placements/internships of researchers into research user organisations, or of research users into the university
- Public engagement activities
- Skills training
- Pump-priming impact activities
- Other activities which aim to impact on policy, business and third sector practice, resources and/or procedure
We are particularly interested in activities which link to one or more Cambridge Language Sciences’ research themes. We also welcome applications from other projects. Please do get in touch if you would like to discuss this further:
