Areas of Interest:
Language standardization
Language and identity
Language ideologies

Since completing my undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the University of Manchester, I have undertaken quantitative and qualitative sociolinguistic research in Austria, Germany, Luxembourg and in the UK. I am particularly interested in perceptions towards speakers of different linguistic varieties, and how these attitudes and ideologies are shaped by wider discourses on language in society. My research is interdisciplinary by nature and covers topics related to standard/non-standard language(s), multilingual repertoires and historical sociolinguistics. I am currently a Research Associate on the MEITS project with a focus on language standardization in multilingual contexts.
